What to Expect
In the first session we will discuss confidentiality, complete intake paperwork, and start to learn your story. The next few sessions we will work together to get to know you better, learn your strengths, needs, and create a treatment plan. Then we will focus on successfully reaching your goals together.
There is no set number of weeks for therapy as each client has different needs. We will work together to decide the best timeframe and frequency for you and adjust as we go if needed.
I have morning, afternoon, and some evening appointments available to accommodate client’s schedules. Contact me to discuss availability.
The initial interview/intake session is $120.00 (75 min).
Individual, Couples, and Family sessions are $100.00 per session (50 min).
Payment is accepted in the form of cash, check, or credit card and is due at the beginning of each session.
Logan Counseling Services is a private pay practice so I do not take insurance, but I am able to offer assistance with out-of-network coverage through receipts that can be submitted to your insurance company.
Why private pay?
I strongly believe that the counseling relationship should remain between the counselor and client. We are the ones doing the work and should be the ones who determine the progress and need for continued therapy services. When an insurance becomes involved, they often require confidential records that become part of the client's medical record. Insurance companies also have the right to refuse or limit certain treatment and limit the number of sessions allowed. Also, please know that for insurance reimbursement a formal mental health diagnosis is required and will become part of your medical record. Many people seek therapy services who do not necessarily meet the criteria for a mental health diagnosis, but insurance companies do not reimburse for services without them.
I can provide you with a receipt for services rendered if you have a PPO, HSA, or other flexible health care benefits. Please know that some people have high deductibles, so unless your deductible is met you would pay 100% up to your deductible whether the provider is out-of-network or in-network. There is also the option of working with a service called Better which helps with claim reimbursement for those who wish to use out-of-network benefits and want assistance.
LCS does not approve or guarantee reimbursement for services; for any questions about insurance coverage please contact your insurance carrier. All fees for services are the responsibility of the client and due at the beginning of each session.
The Cancellation fee will occur if notice has not been given within 24 hours before your appointment, except in cases of emergency.
